A film dedicated to women hand-workers, with globalisation as a backgound. Rosa and Marie are living their last months within the Levi's factory, after 20 years of work there – the factory has been relocated. In Turquey, anonymous voices confide their harsh condition of life; in Indonesia or in the Philippines: 10 to 15 straight hours of hard work, for miserable wages. Working women of the world, or how much is one ready to pay for a cheap pair of blue jeans.

Why people burn?

January 31st 1980, Guatemala, while the civil war between the military dictatorship and the Marxist guerrilla drags on, 32 representatives of associations of farmers come from every corner of the country to peacefully occupy the Embassy of Spain and claim their rights. All will be burned alive by the military junta. In memory of this massacre, the film takes a critical look at today’s Guatemala society.
